WILD TRACKS INTERNATIONAL KAHAWA

Wild Tracks is a Tanzanian-Norwegian safari and coffee company owned by the couple Beate Hustad Aamodt and Frank Mbise. The company was founded in 2001, and since then, Wild Tracks has grown to include a large number of employees, and organises various trips from luxury to the most modest, such as camping.

Since 2014, Wild Track also sells coffee (locally and abroad) under the name ‘Kahawa’, using its own roasting facility. The coffee is purchased from the Aranga Coffee group to support local farmers. Since 2015, Wild Tracks has also developed a one-day ’Coffee Tour’, where tourists can learn about coffee, fair trade and organic production.

From January 2016 to December 2017, the company was supported by TDC with a marketing coaching programme. Through interactive sessions, a full marketing strategy was developed and targeted towards increasing local sales, while gaining back sales from a customer who had gone bankrupt in 2015, which may have had a negative affect on Kahawa in 2016.
